What is the difference between fitness and exercise? Being fit and active is great for your physical and mental well-being and to achieve fitness you have to exercise, but it’s usually because you are working on a fitness goal.

Exercising is great for your fitness goals but it is not the only way to improve your health. Eating a healthy diet is also an important part of reaching your fitness goals. Foods that are low in added sugars, saturated fats, and sodium are important. Eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean sources of protein.

A healthy diet and exercising can help control or delay health issues associated with aging, like high blood pressure and diabetes. Set short-term goals to achieve your healthy diet and exercise routine.

So to answer the question, the difference is that exercise is a part of the journey towards the goal of fitness. When starting your fitness program it is important to consider your likes and dislikes and start with exercise that you like.

Setting fitness goals and working towards them is a big decision that doesn’t need to be overwhelming. Plan carefully and pace yourself, you can make working towards your fitness goal a healthy habit that lasts a lifetime.
